i need advice on my pay?
im 18 (19 in may), and im qld australia. im paid under the clerical and admin award SE QLD (state award) 2002.
i work in an accounting firm and do many tasks such as admin (phones, corres, client liasion etc) as well as complete and lodge tax returns, BASs & IASs. I do company compliance with asic and basic accounting work. I also handle billing and receipting.
i have a TAFE qualification (diploma of accounting).
at present im being paid 9.88 an hr giving me a salary of 19000 a year.
i know im underpaid for the work im doing. i have tried talking to the payroll officer who is also the CFO as well as tried talking to the HR lady. no one has gotten me any satisfaction.
can anyone here offer me advice on how to get my pay up and what it should be?

Go and get a job with the govt or health care. It’s the only place you get paid for your skills. The private sector is for profit, they’ll never pay you what you’re worth, it would hurt their bottom line.
