Should I include my service cost in my advertising mailing?

Hi,

I teach CPR. I am mass mailing 133 letters to health-care companies that I know must have CPR for their employees to stay in compliance. I am charging $35.00 to companies for an individual to be CPR certified.

Should I include the cost I charge within the advertised mailing, I have displayed below?

Dear Fellow Healthcare Provider,

Thank you for allowing me to introduce you to Alpha Medical Training. We provide CPR and First Aid Training for Citizens, Healthcare, Schools, Business and Industry.

The specific modules we teach are:

Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
Basic Life Support Heartsaver CPR/AED
Basic Life Support Heartsaver First Aid
Pediatric First Aid

We ask that you keep our contact information available as a resource or backup source for your CPR and First Aid Training needs.

Please contact us at 111-222-3333 for pricing, to schedule classes, or any other questions you might have.

We look forward to working with you in the future!

Firstly, I think your letter will not get response because it is weak.

If you have 133 mailings, why don’t you call everyone of them to find out exactly the person is in charge. Make an appointment and present everything to them. The courses, the cost, the details fo the session (how many sessions), registration cost. A sales presentation that is professional.

It is too small a target market. If you want to sell these things, they also need to see you, have an idea of who the trainer is. How qualified they are. They are medical people, they will not accept just anyone. A face-to-face is a better opportunity. For B2B business, do it direct.

Secondly, I would also approach it from a community service perspective. I would seek out Fire Departments, Health Departments, the Mayor and ask them if I could conduct free CPR lessons for the public. Get credentials. Get your name out there. Then the medical profession might take you more seriously and you can network.
